WALKING DEAD ACTOR JOINS MYTHBUSTERS ZOMBIE EPISODE _ The Mythbusters gang is going to get some help testing zombie myths from one destroyer of the undead. Walking Dead actor Michael Rooker — Merle Dixon himself — is going to guest star on the Discovery Channel hit. One of the myths being tested is attempting to figure out which weapon is really best for killing a horde of the undead. The show recently put out an all points bulletin for 300 volunteers to play zombies to help shoot the episode. The episode will air as part of the show’s upcoming 10th season.
THE WALKING DEAD, BIG BANG THEORY COMING TO A THEATER NEAR YOU _ The Big Bang Theory and The Walking Dead are coming to theaters — but there’s a twist. The shows will be the first to have their panels broadcast in select movie theaters during the upcoming PaleyFest, which is put on by the Paley Center for Media and takes place every year in Los Angeles. Additionally, The Big Bang Theory’s panel will feature an interactive element that will allow fans to submit questions to the cast and producers via Twitter. That event will take place on March 13.
... Meanwhile, The Walking Dead panel, which is being moderated by Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick, will be recorded on the opening night of the festival (March 1) and broadcast in theaters on March 7.
JOHN MAYER ADMITS HE WAS A "JERK" ABOUT PAST RELATIONSHIPS _ John Mayer never bit his tongue when it came to voicing his opinions on his past relationships, but it comes as a pleasant surprise that he now admits he was wrong in airing his dirty laundry in public. Mayer says, "I was just a jerk." Mayer's most famous foot-in-mouth occurrence was referring to former fling Jessica Simpson as "sexual napalm." His other relationships include Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Minka Kelly, among others.
NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM 3 SCHEDULED FOR CHRISTMAS 2014 _ The two Night at the Museum movies, from 2006 and 2009, did well for Fox -- too well to let the franchise stop at two. So Fox has announced that Night at the Museum 3 will open on December 25, 2014.
TONY DANZA OFFICIALLY DIVORCED FROM WIFE OF 24 YEARS _ Nearly two years after filing the papers, Tony Danza is now officially divorced from his wife, Tracy, after 24 years of marriage. The Who's the Boss star initially filed in March 2011, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple, who wed in 1986, have been separated since 2006. They have two daughters.
AMERICAN HORROR STORY'S JAMES CROMWELL ARRESTED _ James Cromwell was arrested Thursday morning at the University of Wisconsin where the American Horror Story: Asylum star protested over claims that the school tortures cats. Cromwell, as well as a PETA spokesman, disrupted a UW System Board of Regents meeting, causing a disturbance as they shouted and held up signs that showed a cat that allegedly came from the UW-Madison lab with metal implanted in its head. The school denies PETA's accusations that 30 cats a year have been starved, deafened and decapitated for brain research.
FARMVILLE TV SHOW _ An animated show based on the addictive Zynga social media game FarmVille is in the works. No other details are available.
MR. BEAN'S CAR CRASH SETS RECORD _ Rowan Atkinson, the British comedian who's probably best known to Americans as Mr. Bean, is in the record books for something that's not all that funny. Atkinson's insurers paid about $1.4 million to repair the McLaren F1 supercar that he wrecked in 2011. That's a U.K. record. The bill is about 42 percent more than Atkinson paid for the car in 1997. The reason the car is worth fixing: its value has soared. One "immaculate model" sold for $5.5 million last year. Atkinson was not seriously injured in the crash.
