(BAM! SOLD! WOW!)... THE ORIGINAL BATMOBILE FROM THE TV SERIES SOLD FOR..... $4.2 MILLION!A man from Arizona with a love for Batman and Robin bought the original Batmobile from the television series for $4.2 million at an auction. Rick Champagne is a Phoenix-area logistics company owner.
He bought the black, futuristic two-seater that was featured in the "Batman" series from 1966 to 1968.
The man really liked Batman growing up and went to the auction with the intention of buying the car. He calls the purchase a "dream come true."
The Batmobile is based on a 1955 Lincoln Futura, a concept car built in Italy by the Ford Motor Company.
In 1965, the car was bought for $1 by customizer George Barris, who had just 15 days and $15,000 to transform the car for the TV show. He had owned it ever since.
The car has a V-8 engine and instruments in the steering wheel, plus innovative items like a push-button transmission.
COPS SWARM THE KARDASHIAN FAMILY HOME
The home of Bruce and Kris Jenner in Hidden Hills, California was swarmed by cops after someone placed a 911 call claiming someone was shot inside the house and armed people were still inside.
Cops armed with machine guns locked down their street on Friday afternoon. Bruce, Kris, Kylie and Kendall were all home at the time and cops ordered them out of their house while they searched it.
Turns out, it was another swatting prank were someone calls 911 so the SWAT team shows up to a home.
ROBERT WAGNER REFUSES TO BE INTERVIEWED ABOUT NATALIE WOOD'S DEATH
Robert Wagner is refusing to talk to police about the death of his wife Natalie Wood, now that the case has been reopened after 30 years.
The actress was previously believed to have died by accident the night she, Wagner and Christopher Walken were partying at Catalina Island off the coast of Los Angeles. Her body was found floating about a mile from the yacht the next morning (November 29, 1981).
The case was recently reopened and investigators revealed Wood had bruises on her at the time of the death; cops are wondering how they got there.
Wagner may know, but he has refused to talk to cops.
MICHAEL DOUGLAS' SON CAMERON WAS BUSTED AGAIN... IN JAIL!
Michael Douglas' drug-addicted son, Cameron, was caught with drugs in his system at the federal prison in Pennsylvania, where he's serving a 10-year stint for dealing.
Douglas failed a urine test and was sent to solitary confinement the first week of January.
No word on whether he'll face additional jail time for the failed test or how long he'll be in the hole.
Recently, Douglas allegedly suffered a broken leg and finger behind bars after a crime-family captain put a $100 bounty on him for being a "rat."
He is not eligible to be released until 2018.
PREDICTABLY.... THE LANCE ARMSTRONG BIOPIC
J.J. Abrams is gearing up to produce a film about cyclist Lance Armstrong's life.
The biopic will be based on New York Times sportswriter Juliet Macur's upcoming book "Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong".
The book is scheduled to be published in June.
In his sit-down with Oprah Winfrey, Lance Armstrong admitted for the first time to doping during his career, saying he didn't think he could've won the Tour de France seven times without it.
TE'O TO BE INTERVIEWED BY KATIE COURIC
Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o will be interviewed by Katie Couric, the first on-camera interview given by the All-American since news broke about the dead girlfriend hoax. Te'o and his parents will appear on Couric's syndicated daytime talk show Thursday. Te'o gave an off-camera interview with ESPN on Friday night. He insists he was the victim of the hoax, not a participant. The Heisman Trophy runner-up said he had an online romance with a woman he never met and in September was informed that the woman died from leukemia. Te'o told ESPN that the person suspected of being the mastermind of the hoax -- a California man -- has contacted him and apologized.
