Gotta Love A Beagle!!! We do! Snoopy is an older, relaxed guy who just goes with the flow. He is very affectionate towards humans and yearns for more attention than he can get at the shelter. Like all dogs, but especially older dogs, Snoopy deserves to be in a house with a bed and couch and surrounded by love, not this stressful shelter environment. We believe he would adjust well to a home and he does fine with other dogs. He likes everybody and everything so come visit him, maybe you can take him home and give him the life that he deserves, one that is filled with comforts, love and friendship :)
Rebecca is a sweet and laid-back kitty! She enjoys her days laying in cozy beds, stretching out in the sunshine, or cuddled up in a lap. Sense a theme here? Rebecca is just a lazy, sleepy girl. When she bothers to be awake she's very affectionate, and while she doesn't appreciate loud noises or a lot of commotion she'd fit right in at a quiet home. She'll help keep your lap nice and toasty this winter!
Hi I'm Daisy... you haven't met a sweeter, relaxed, and highly agreeable dog until you've met me. I haven’t had hardly any human interaction but somehow I know that humans are supposed to love us and I want to know that love. I came from a hoarding situation, so I've been around lots of dogs and I see them as my friends. I'm very quiet and not demanding at all. Petting me is something that I have newly experienced and I like it too. I need someone who doesn't mind that I move a little slow … there is nothing wrong with me … I’m just that mild. And, I nap a lot too : ). Don't worry about my fur coat. I was shaved due to matting and it is growing back beautifully. Would you change my life forever and show me the love of humanity? I'd be sooooooo grateful :)
If you need a sweet and laid-back cat in your life, come visit Left Eye! She is very loving and loves to be pet or have her chin scratched. She loves people that understand that not every cat is going to be super-outgoing all the time. She might not be the first kitty to scurry over to you when you walk in the room, but she'll be the one to captivate your heart if you take the time to sit with her. The nice thing about independent cats like Left Eye is that she won't constantly pester you for attention and shell be just fine going off and playing with toys without being too needy! She's the perfect mix of being affectionate and independent. Come meet this pretty tabby today!
Tiger is a big-boned girl with a big personality! She's very outgoing and affectionate and makes friends easily--feline and human. Despite her size (and girth) she's very agile and loves to play and chase after toys. When she's tuckered out she's ready for a nap, and will snuggle up with her human friends for cuddle time. She's such a love-bug and just wants someone that will give her loads of attention! Come meet Tiger today and you'll fall in love with this beautiful tortie!
Did you know that approximately 25% of all dogs and puppies in a shelter will be purebred or of a designer breed? Yep ... crazy isn't it! Some people can't be loyal to a dog that thinks the world of them. ;
Chester will think the world of you, in fact he is just happy to be in this world. Everything is exciting to him and he loves everyone and everything. He wants to play and be pet and have more human contact than he is able to get at the shelter. He's one of our staff’s favorites, because his personality lives up to his looks! It appears that Chester might need help with potty training, but even the most potty trained dogs will need help while transitioning into a home. Other than that, Chester hasn’t any issues ... he is just happy-go-lucky! So don't delay, come meet him today because he won't be here long!
Boo decided to smile for his picture because he wants everyone to see how wonderful he can be. Boo had a little bit of a rough life--his owner became homeless and as a result Boo did too. Luckily One of a Kind took him in, and since then he's been adjusting to the shelter life. He was so used to his home environment that it's taken him a long while to get adjusted here (resulting in him being more shy than he normally would be compared to when he's with people he knows). The poor guy just wants a home and a lap, and he doesn't understand why he has to deal with all of the commotion and stress here. Boo can be such a sweet and loving boy when he becomes comfortable with his surroundings, and he's anxious to show you how affectionate he can be!
Hello I'm Celia, a purebred dachshund, and I’m look forward to meeting you! I'm an older gal but I still have spunk … in fact a good amount of it! I get so excited to meet new people and I want them to love on me and only me :)! So an only dog is what I want to be. Being the only dog in your heart means you only have me to spoil :). Because I'm such a small girl, you can imagine how scary little children are when they don't know how to be gentle with me so because of that, please keep me – and them – at a distance. I’m affectionate and your lap will be my favorite place to be. A lot of great things come when adopting an older dog … you get a dog that isn't bouncing off the walls or chewing your shoes, but someone who is just happy to be next to you. Don't delay, come see me today :)
These two big boys will steal your heart with both their good looks and fantastic personalities! These fellows are bonded to one another and are eager to go to the same home. They have plenty of fun here, but they both thrive with consistent human interaction and crave attention. Brutus is a handsome yet quirky Maine Coon that loves to have fun (and also loves to have his photo taken) and Wheezy is more laid-back and independent. Together it's the perfect combination--Brutus is goofy and entertaining while Wheezy is more relaxed and loving. They're the best of both worlds! Come visit this pair of sweet gentlemen and you'll be sure to fall in love!
Meet Lily and Sebastian... these two love each other very much and would love to go to home together, however, can be separated if necessary. Together, they share an office with Dave, our volunteer coordinator, and over time have come to love and depend on each other. They like to cuddle, and do fine being fed together. They both also bond very easily with people, however Lily does so quicker. They are typical Chihuahuas that, because they are so tiny, scare easily so a home without young children that don't know how to respect a dog's space is ideal. Sebastian is younger than Lily, but in general smaller dogs live longer than larger breeds. Bother are very sweet... could you possibly give them both a home? It would be their dream come true! Come visit them today and see why we want these two Chihuahuas to go to the same forever home :)
