Firestone Golf Course Dave Milo says he has 'good kids. They're at the range every day. They're hitting balls every day. Even if I call off practice, I know they're going to be hitting balls and it shows in their scores'.

The medalist of the City Series Championship was Firestone Junior Phillip Martin, who shot a one-under 67 at Mud Run. (33-34). Milo says 'what's great about Phillip is that he's getting better. He has the ability to play D-One Golf if he wants to'.

It's the second consecutive year that Martin has won medalist honors. Martin said 'I didn't do anything well. I just minimized my mistakes. I was just solid overall'. Martin had four birdies and three bogeys in his round.
Patrick Schultz shot 76 and Matt McCans had a 78 for Firestone. Low golfer for Ellet was Ben Cockerham with a 74.
