Geoff Burke/Getty Images for NASCAR(BROOKLYN, Mich.) -- In his contract year, Joey Logano has started to show why Joe Gibbs Racing should offer him a new deal.

Logano beat out James Buescher to take home his fifth checkered flag of the Nationwide Series this season.

"I've just had a lot of confidence in myself lately and my abilities and knowing what I can do," Logano said. "There hasn't been an opportunity that we let slip up yet."

As for Buescher, it was close but no cigar.

"We took a shot at it at the end," Buescher said. "As long as you're in position, that's all you can ask for."

Kurt Busch finished in third.
