Night Number One Of HS Football Playoffs

Plenty of High School Football Playoff Action tonight involving teams in our area.

Starting in Division Two, Region 5, three local teams are in action tonight. Eighth-seeded Ravenna (8-2) plays at Mentor Lake Catholic (9-1). Seventh seeded Highland (6-4) travels to Warren Howland (9-1). Defending Division III State Champs, Aurora (8-2), now playing in Division II, plays at Canfield (9-1)

In Division Two, Region Seven, the undefeated Louisville Leopards (10-0) host Columbus Marion-Franklin (8-2).

In Division III, Region Nine, four local teams are in action. Eighth-seeded Field (8-2) plays at top-seeded Cardinal Mooney (10-0). 7th seeded St. Vincent-St. Mary (6-4) plays at second-seeded Poland Seminary (8-2). North Coast League rivals, number six Padua (7-3) and number three Archbishop Hoban (7-3) will play tonight at Dowed Field. Finally, number five Buckeye (8-2) plays at number four Hubbard (9-1).

In DIvision III Region 11, number 8 Marlington (8-2) plays at number one Steubenville (9-1). Number 6 Northwest (7-3) plays at Number 3 Rayland Buckeye Local (8-2).

Teams in Division V are also in action tonight. In Region 17, Number 8 Waynedale (7-3) plays at Number One Cuyahoga Heights (10-0). In Region 18, fifth seeded Hillsdale (8-2) is at number four Ashland Crestview (9-1).

All games kickoff at 7:30 tonight.
