Woodridge, SVSM Lead Cross Country Poll 10/29/2009 9:51:02 AM | Joe Jastrzemski, AkronNewsNow.com Two area teams are at the top of the heap in the Statewide poll of Cross Country teams, voted on by high school coaches around the state of Ohio. advertisement Woodridge in Boys Division II and St. Vincent-St. Mary in Girls Division II are in first place. This is an important week for all Cross Country teams. The Regional Tournaments take place around the state. That means the State Meet is just around the corner. A number of area schools are scattered throughout the poll in both the boys and girls divisions. St. Ignatius is first in Boys Division One. Medina is third, Hudson is ninth. GlenOak is 14th and Hoover is 15th. In Boys Division Two, Woodridge is first, CVCA is eighth, St, Vincent-St. Mary is ninth, Archbishop Hoban is tenth and Crestwood is 11th. In Boys Division Three, Independence is first, East Canton is ninth and St. Thomas Aquinas is 11th. In Girls Division One, Magnificat is first, Hoover is second, Hudson is third, Wadsworth is 15th, Medina is 16th and tied for 18th are Brunswick and Louisville.
