Farrell pitched for Cleveland and was a farm director for the club. Shapiro and assistant GM Chris Antonetti are conducting phone interviews with up to 10 candidates. They will bring the finalists to Cleveland for a second round of interviews and hope to have a new manager by the end of the World Series.
