BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) -- A'uston Calhoun scored 27 points and grabbed six rebounds to help Bowling Green rout Malone on Wednesday night.
Calhoun scored Bowling Green's first six points as the Falcons (5-3) jumped out to an early 10-0 lead. Malone cut the lead to six, 28-22, but wouldn't get any closer as Calhoun scored 10 of the Falcons' next 13 points to take a 41-24 lead into halftime.
Cameron Black opened the second half with five quick points for Bowling Green to extend its lead to 48-24.
Calhoun shot 100 percent (9 of 9) from the field and 2 of 3 from the free throw line. Black added 11 points and six rebounds, shooting 83 percent (5 of 6) from the field.
Bowling Green shot 64 percent (39 of 61) from the field compared to just 24 percent (15 of 62) for Malone
Zach Bates led Malone (5-4) with 10 points.
