Springfield High School junior basketball star Victor Dorsey is the WAKR Student Athlete of the Week for February 15th-February 22nd.

Dorsey has been a model of consistency this year for the Spartans averaging 17.9 ppg and 8.5 rpg for the improved Springfield team.

"He has been good for us, a nice addition" said Springfield Head Coach Steve Schafer.

Dorsey played the past two years for STVM High School and was a part time starter in 2011-2012.

Victor also played wide receiver on the Spartan football team.

"I've always loved basketball, I was tall but I always liked watching Michael Jordan play" Dorsey said.

Victor is also a volunteer at the Soup Kitchen at the Haven of Rest.

"I'm having fun this year, I just hope we keep winning" Dorsey said.

Dorsey currently has a GPA of 3.0.
