CINCINNATI (AP) -- He might have been looking for love in the right place, but it was the wrong time.

A Hamilton County elections board employee has been docked a day's pay and restricted to work sites and work email only while on the job. Board officials say he repeatedly looked at the online dating site Match.com, including on Valentine's Day, after being warned not to.

Ken Spruce argued that board policy is outdated and that other employees use the Internet for personal reasons. An elections official says voter information security could be compromised by employees who might let in computer viruses, and that others were disciplined.

The Cincinnati Enquirer ( http://cin.ci/12oCtgi ) reports that when asked if he found a date with his searches, Spruce replied that he's "always looking for love."
