CLEVELAND (AP) -- Cleveland police say a man shot his 12-year-old daughter with a shotgun before killing himself overnight.

Media reports said the girl survived and is being treated at a hospital. Her 46-year-old father was dead at the scene from a gunshot wound to the head.

Police said they responded to a home on the west side at about 3:46 a.m. Monday.

No names have been released, and the investigation continues.
