COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Former Ohio State football star Jim Stillwagon has been indicted on charges accusing him of firing shots at another driver during a road rage incident last year.

Prosecutors in Delaware County north of Columbus said Friday that the 63-year-old Stillwagon was indicted on four second-degree felony counts of felonious assault, all with firearm specifications.

Police said Stillwagon, who was on a motorcycle, fired shots at the driver of a pickup truck on Sept. 30. One of the shots grazed the 41-year-old man's head.

Strillwagon, who was legally carrying the gun, is a college Hall of Fame middle guard who helped the Buckeyes to a national championship in 1968.

His attorney has said he fired in self-defense. A phone message was left at his home Friday. His arraignment is Monday.
