COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- The husband of a former fugitive who spent more than two years in Mexico following her conviction in Ohio in a $1.9 billion corporate fraud has been sentenced to four months house arrest.

U.S. marshals say their search for Rebecca Parrett was hurt by false information they received from Gary Green in 2008 and 2009.

A federal judge in California sentenced Green on Monday in Los Angeles following his guilty plea last August.

Green must also serve a year on probation and pay a $100 court fee.

Green's attorney had argued the 20-year U.S. Navy Veteran had no criminal background and was manipulated by Parrett.

The government said Green had committed a serious crime by helping Parrett evade arrest for two years.
