PHOENIX (AP) -- Federal authorities say two fugitives being sought for alleged sex offenses involving children in Ohio and Texas have been arrested in Arizona.
The U.S. Marshal's Service says 61-year-old Howard Huffman was taken into custody Wednesday at an apartment in the Phoenix suburb of Mesa.
Huffman is wanted by the Harris County Sheriff's Office in Houston for allegedly sexually abusing a 6-year-old child in January 2007.
Phoenix-based deputy marshals arrested 19-year-old John Gamble Jr. at a restaurant Tuesday in east Mesa. Gamble is wanted in Barberton, Ohio for the alleged rape of a juvenile girl last November.
Authorities say 33-year-old Ryan Atkins was arrested Tuesday in Phoenix for violating his probation. A convicted sex offender, Atkins is on lifetime probation in Arizona's Maricopa County for molesting an 8-year-old child in 1999.
