AKRON, Ohio (AP) -- An Ohio mother, her boyfriend and two other men have been charged in the death of the woman's 17-month-old at a house with a meth lab in the basement.

Akron police said Friday that murder charges were filed against 20-year-old Heather Lerch and 22-year-old Ronald Legg. Manslaughter charges were filed against 24-year-old Allen Ray Kostra and the mother's boyfriend, 19-year-old brother Randy Legg, Ronald's brother.

The four lived where Patrick Lerch was found unresponsive Feb. 26 and declared dead at a hospital.

The medical examiner says the baby died of meth poisoning but isn't sure how it got into his system.

No court records were found for attorneys in the case. A message was left for the attorney who represented them on drug-related charges filed earlier in the investigation.
