BATAVIA, Ohio (AP) -- The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating how a single-engine airplane with three people on board blew a tire on takeoff from Clermont County Airport in southwest Ohio.

Police say the plane slid off the runway into a grassy area Tuesday night. It sustained minor damage.

WCPO-TV reports ( http://bit.ly/vMaQFE ) that no one on the plane was injured.
