William Thomas Cain/Bill Pugliano/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Although Barack Obama and Mitt Romney paused their campaigning on Friday to address the Colorado tragedy, the Wall Street Journal reported six battleground states for the election had a rise in unemployment figures.
In the latest labor report, the jobless rate hiked up to 10th of a percentage point in June in Virginia, New Hampshire, Iowa, Colorado, Pennsylvania and Michigan.
Unemployment is a key issue debated in the 2012 presidental election.
