CHRISTOPHE SIMON/AFP/Getty Images(LONDON) -- American swimmer Michael Phelps became the most decorated Olympian in history when he struck gold Tuesday in the men's 4x200 relay freestyle.
The medal is Phelps' 19th overall; fifteen have been gold.
