An abandoned house fire in Canton Monday night spread to a home next door.
NewsChannel 5 reports Canton police were called to a home on Hazlett NW that was completely engulfed in flames when they arrived around 10:30 p.m. Monday night.
Before firefighters were able to get the blaze under control, it spread to an occupied home next door. Canton fire officials tell the TV station firefighters extinguished the flames about an hour after they received the call.
No injuries were reported and the fire remains under investigation.

A house fire on Shepard Road in Macedonia was brought under control on Friday evening.
The Macedonia Fire Department tells AkronNewsNow.com that three Macedonia police officers were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation, but have been treated and released.
A woman thought to be a resident of the house was also taken to the hospital, though few details have been confirmed. It's believed she also suffered smoke inhalation.
Firefighters from Twinsburg, Aurora, Bedford, Bedford Heights and Oakwood helped put out the Macedonia house fire.
Akron firefighters quickly knocked down a fire at a home off East Exchange Street this morning.
The Akron fire department says the owner of the home on Black Street reported smoke and fire on the outside of the home at about 7 AM.
The occupants got out before firefighters arrived, and those firefighters put out the fire outside the home.
There are no reports of injuries as a result of the fire.
Firefighters say the fire started inside the wall of the home, but haven't determined a cause.
The identity of the man who died in a house fire over the weekend in Barberton has been released.
The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 54-year-old Robert Saunders.
The house fire happened early Saturday morning in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue.

Akron fire officials say a space heater was the cause of a fire that damaged a home in Akron Sunday morning.
Firefighters say smoke detectors alerted the resident in the home in the 1100 block of La Croix Avenue around 7 a.m.
The fire reportedly started in the second floor of the home and spread into the attic.
No injuries were reported. The fire caused about $20,000 damage to the building and about $5,000 damage to the contents inside the home.

Beckley and Creswell made their way over to the home on Clarendon Avenue SW to help the couple as they raced to the back door. After several tries they kicked in the door and found three people inside the home, including the couple that lived there and a neighbor.
They weren't the only ones that contributed though as as a man went and knocked on the front door and got in the house and helped the people get out the back door.
Once everyone was out of the house, one of the people tried to go back in to get their wallet. One of the teens told the elderly woman that you only have one life, and that you can replace your wallet and what's inside it.
There is no cause for the fire and it remains under investigation.

The American Red Cross is helping a family of four that was displaced by a house fire this morning in Akron.
Akron fire officials said they responded to an attic fire around 7:45 a.m. on Brighton Drive near South Main Street.
The family was able to get out of the home safely. One firefighter suffered minor injuries.
The Red Cross is currently helping the family find shelter.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Crews are currently assessing the damages.
Firefighters discovered three people in the basement of a home that caught fire in Rittman.
Channel 3 News reports the small house blaze on Liberty Street 3 a.m. Tuesday, was contained to the basement.
A cause is not known as officials continue to investigate.

Akron firefighters are battling a house fire in the city's Firestone Park neighborhood.
Fire officials say it apparently broke out in the attached garage of the home on the corner of Reed Avenue and Elder Avenue on Saturday afternoon, and flames got inside the home.
The home on fire is about five blocks from Interstate 77, and smoke has been visible along the highway.
There is not believed to be anyone stuck inside the home, and there have been no reports of any injuries to occupants or emergency responders.
Police have blocked traffic on Brown Street, between Lindenwood Avenue and Reed Avenue, to ease access for emergency vehicles responding to the scene.
Four people were injured in a house fire Sunday night in Canton.
News Channel 5 reports the fire started on the front porch and quickly spread throughout the entire home on 4th Street NW.
Two victims, a man and woman, were flown to the Akron Children's Hospital burn unit with serious injuries and two others were taken to a Aultman Hospital with injuries.
Fire officials told News Channel 5 that one man was rescued from the roof of the garage and a woman was given CPR after she was found unresponsive in a bedroom.
Several animals died in the fire, but crews rescued about 25 rabbits. They appeared to be taken care of and kept in separate cages.
The Stark County Humane Society took possession of the animals.
Two firefighters suffered injuries, but the Canton Repository reports the extent of their injuries were not described.
