A former worker for the Barberton school district has filed a sexual discrimination lawsuit against the superintendent and school board.
The Akron Beacon Journal reports Mary Beth Foore, a former data specialist, is suing Superintendent John Hall for alleged sexual discrimination.
Foore says Hall has shown disrespect towards female employees and created a "intimidating, hostile and offensive environment." Foore claims that she reported the discrimination, but the school board allowed it to continue.
She is seeking more than $25,000 in punitive damages and compensatory damages for lost wages and emotional distress.
