13 years in prison for a Monroe Falls man who walked straight to the police station after strangling his sister to death.

Lawrence Hanly, 37, of Munroe Falls Avenue in Munroe Falls, pleaded guilty to Voluntary Manslaughter, a first-degree felony, and Felonious Assault, a second-degree felony.
Hanly strangled the victim, his sister, on New Year’s Day after she repeatedly badmouthed and threatened to kill their mother. After the attack, Hanly walked to the Munroe Falls police station and confessed. Judge Mary Margaret Rowlands sentenced Hanly to 13 years in prison.
