Fake Facebook Page Lands Two Women In Trouble

Two Alliance women landed in jail Monday for pretending to be another person on Facebook.

The Canton Repository reports that Felicia Perez and Morgan A. Furry, both 20, both pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge of identity fraud.

The women told police that they meant no harm an they were just trying get information about their boyfriends.

Perez and Furry will spend only one day in jail if they stay out of trouble for two years. They are placed under the supervision of a probate officer.

Stark County Common Pleas Judge Frank Forchione barred the women from using Facebook or other social networking sites for year. 

The judge also ordered them to contact six schools and speak to students about the negative affects of misusing social networks.
