Canton's Waterworks Park looked more like Gator Alley Tuesday.
The Canton Repository reports police called the Stark County Park District to report a 3-foot-long alligator swimming in the Waterworks Park creek.
Park rangers said the reptile was relatively tame. They think it was someone's pet even though alligators are considered exotic animals and thus are illegal to own as pets.
Rangers took the gator to the Sanders Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Massillon. They're working on finding it a good, legal home.
