It's a good time to own a professional cleaning service, especially one that specializes in cleaning up after a flood.
Joe Bohar with 1-800-FLOODED says he's been swamped with pumping out, disinfecting, steam cleaning and speed drying basements, some of which had 3 - 5 feet of water. The flood came with the rain July 10, but Bohar says the work is far from over.
"Now that the rain has stopped, we're still going to be busy for weeks to come," said Bohar. "We have received hundreds of calls from the Akron area."
You could argue that Mother Nature has made it a lucrative time for Bohar and all of his competitors in this part of the state, but Bohar says he really hasn't even had time to think about it.
At times like this, we're really not even thinking of the money," said Bohar. "We're just trying to help as many people as we can and we don't really pray for rain and these things do happen and we're going around the clock."
Bohar says it's the worst flooding he's seen in Summit County in 5 - 10 years.
