The popularity of Brimfield Police's Facebook page is about to take a jump to the printed page.
Chief David Oliver signed a book deal with Cleveland publisher Gray and Company. His first book will be called "No Mopes Allowed," a title play on words for his use of "mopes" to describe wrongdoers. He'll wrtite about his experiences and the Facebook page that made him famous.
The proceeds will go to benefit Oliver's newly-created foundation, which will provide funding for "shop with a cop" programs and support for children who are victims of sexual assault.
Oliver said the release date is scheduled for September 21 during Brimfield's annual "Brimfest."
