Cuyahoga Falls Police have arrested two people in connection with operating a meth lab.
29-year-old Brian Sandella and 27-year-old Gemma Matthews have been charged with one count each of illegal assembly of chemicals used the manufacturing of drugs, illegal manufacturing of drugs, and child endangering.
Falls police said a resident noticed a woman dumping out suspicious looking items in the west alley near Marcia Avenue. Police found items commonly used to manufacture methamphetamines.
Police and the Summit County Drug Unit executed a search warrant at a home on 23rd Street where they found other evidence inside.
A child in the home was turned over to relatives.
Hazardous waste found at the scene was removed by a hazardous waste disposal contractor.
Both Sandella and Matthews are expected to appear in court today in connection with the operation of the meth lab.
On the department's Facebook page, Cuyahoga Falls Police Chief Tom Pozza praised the resident who called the police after seeing something that didn't appear right.
"This is a great example of 'See something, say something,' " he said.
