Three drug raids in Stark and Summit counties Tuesday night and Wednesday morning netted a big haul of drugs and money for local and federal law enforcement agencies.
Stark County Sheriff George Maier says the Stark County Sheriff Metropolitan Narcotics Unit , along with the Drug Enforcement Administration seized an estimated 332 pounds of packed marijuana,$330,000 in cash, four vehicles, a gun with a thirty round magazine, and a bullet proof vest. The marijuana had a street value of one-million dollars.
Search warrants were served at two locations in Stark County, and one in Summit County.
Maier says as a result of the raids and investigation numerous federal indictments are expected to be filed. No arrests were announced as the ongoing investigation continues.
