A Mogadore woman will be spending time behind bars for the hit-skip death of a Springfield Township teenager.
Summit County Common Pleas Judge Alison McCarty sentenced Dianna Vandyne to four years and nine months in prison Tuesday.
Her driver's license has also been suspended for the rest of her life.
On July 17 of 2012, the 47-year-old Vandyne was driving the car that killed 16-year-old Anthony Weakland of Springfield Township. That day, Weakland and a friend were walking down Albrecht Road in Springfield Township when Vandyne drove into him and then drove away.
She pleaded guilty on May 31 to various charges including hit-skip, aggravated vehicular homicide and tampering with evidence.
