It seems like every anniversary has a gift associated with it. Akron General Medical Center is hoping their 100th anniversary is the "road" anniversary.
The Beacon Journal reports the hospital has asked the City of Akron to rename Wabash Ave. to Akron General Avenue as a part of its 100th anniversary celebration.
The newspaper reports the city seems inclined to approve the change. The medical center is the only business on Wabash Ave.
