At least six people will have to answer to charges of drinking and driving over the holiday weekend.
The Summit County OVI Task Force set up two sobriety checkpoints in Akron and one each in Barberton and Coventry Township. Police talked to drivers of 680 vehicles and cited six of them for driving drunk. Three of them refused to blow, including one who was so drunk, they had to take him to a detox facility, and the other three blew over the limit, averaging a .102.
A few got nailed for driving under suspension, drug possession, no license, not using child restraints and other violations.
