A 16-year old McKinley High School student has been taken into custody in connection with allegedly firing shots outside Schreiber Elementary School in Canton.
The Repository says Canton police confirm the gun turned out to be a BB gun. The teen allegedly got off a bus on Minerva Court NW, pulled out the gun and began firing. There are no reports of anyone being struck.
Police say the boy will at least be charged with inducing panic.
The investigation remains ongoing.

Schreiber Elementary School in Canton was temporarily placed on lockdown this (Wednesday)afternoon as police responded to reports of a student allegedly firing shots after getting off a school bus.
The Canton Repository reports that police were told three juveniles got off the bus on Minerva Court NW around 1:45 p.m. and that one of them had a handgun and began shooting before taking off, according to Canton police.
No one was reportedly struck and there is no damage to the school building that's been confirmed.
Police are continuing to investigate.Anyone with information is asked to call Canton police.
