Medina schools officials are asking for an audit of a fund used to pay costs and benefits for school superintendent Randy Stepp.
The Medina board and school treasurer asked State Auditor David Yost late last week to look into the so-called "Carryover fund".
That's according to the Medina Gazette, which says Stepp controls the fund held by the county schools' Educational Service Center.
Stepp's compensation has come under fire, and the paper says he directed the fund to pay off college loans and to obtain an executive MBA...not to mention reimbursing him for travel expenses.
Stepp's contract provides for educational cost reimbursement.
