A prayer service/vigil will be held tonight for the Parma native and Kent State student who was killed in a spring break crash in Alabama.
WKYC-Channel 3 News is reporting family and friends of 23-year old Joseph "JJ" Marino will be gathering at his off-campus home on 114 Brady Street.
Marino died Saturday night when he and his friends were heading home from a trip to Florida. He was a passenger in an SUV when it collided with a semi truck on Interstate 65.
The truck driver was not injured. The other passengers in the SUV were taken to a nearby hospital where their conditions are unknown at this time.
Alabama State troopers are investigating the cause of the accident.
The vigil will begin at 9 p.m.
