Troopers with the Canton post of the State Highway Patrol suspect alcohol is the likely the cause of a single-car crash in Lawrence Township that left four people hospitalized.
NewsChannel 5 reports the accident happened on Erie Avenue north of Bonham Avenue around 3:30 a.m.
Troopers said 22-year old Corey Ramey of Massillon was driving northbound when he went off the right side of the road, struck a utility pole and flipped his Chevy Cruze before hitting a tree.
Ramey was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment where his condition is unknown.
Three other passengers in the vehicle were taken to hospitals for treatment
The crash remains under investigation.
