A Cuyahoga Falls man, who was facing manslaughter charges in the accidental drowning of his 1-year old granddaughter, has died.

The Falls News Press reports Michael Yoder, 46, was found unresponsive Monday morning by a family member. He was later pronounced dead at Akron General Medical Center.

Police say it appears Yoder died of natural causes but the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office is waiting on toxicology test results before the actual cause can be determined.

Yoder was arrested in August after the March 30 accidental drowning death of his granddaughter, Isabella Jones. Police say Jones was left inside a tub unattended.
