UPDATE Akron Police, SWAT Called To Standoff

Update 5:49 a.m. -

A standoff in North Hill has ended peacefully with the suspect in custody after a SWAT team surrounded a home following reports of early gunfire.

The original shots fired were reported on Patterson Avenue around 2:30 a.m.

Two people were arrested early this morning. The third suspect was taken into custody after the standoff at a home on Zeller Avenue.

A SWAT team is surrounding a house in North Hill, where officers believe a gunman is hiding.

The original shots fired were reported on Patterson Avenue, just west of State Route 8, around 2:30 a.m.

No injuries were reported, according to Akron detectives.

Police have two people in custody, but a third person is believed to be inside of a home off of Zeller Avenue.

Officers have a house surrounded.
