The Portage Animal Protective League  and Ravenna Police are looking for whoever tortured and killed a female pit bull dog.

She was found in Ravenna, behind the Italian Club by Chestnut and Hazen Rd.  A TV cable was tightly embedded in the dog's neck and a rope hung out of her mouth. Investigators say she had also been dragged by a vehicle. The dog was tossed out with the trash.

Portage APL is asking anyone who might have knowledge of the dog's abusers to step forward.  Anyone who has information about the dog named Mercy by the APL is asked to call the Portage Animal Protective League.
