Officers Find Marijuana, $9K In Cash After Traffic Stop

A traffic stop led police to about pound of marijuana and a bag full of cash on SR 14 in Streetsboro Wednesday.

Streetsboro police stopped a vehicle driven by Samantha Elhert, 19, of WIllowick, for a registration violation. She was found to be driving without a license.

A tow truck was called to the scene when officers found out the passenger in the vehicle, Robert Webb, 22, of Willowick, also had a suspended license.

When officers searched the vehicle, they found the marijauana and about $9,000 in cash.

Both Ehlert and Webb were arrested and charged with possession of drugs and trafficking in drugs.

They were taken to the Portage County Jail.
