Man Found With Loaded Gun And Fake ROTC Rifle

A 22-year-old Uniontown man was arrested after police say he was found carrying a loaded gun and a fake weapon from the University of Akron's ROTC program.

Police say Nicholas M. Pearson was stopped for driving in the wrong direction on a one way street on South Broadway.

Police say he was in possession of a loaded Glock, a full magazine and a fake M16.

Other ammunition was found inside his vehicle.

Pearson has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon.

The fake weapon was returned to the ROTC program at the University of Akron.
