Portage County Sheriff's deputies arrested two people after three separate burglaries took place last week in Mantua Township.
On Thursday, deputies were able to arrest Angie M. Wyatt, 29, of Cleveland after she was found riding with 30-year-old Brian C. Cieszykowski, 30, of Cleveland in a vehicle that matched the description of a car that was used in two burglaries in the 5000 block of Winchell Road on Tuesday.
She was taken into custody with an outstanding arrest warrant through Geauga County for a probation violation.
Cieszykowski was later arrested after an investigation revealed another burglary in the same area. Two detectives were injured when they tried to make an arrest. One detective was taken to a local hospital and the other did not require treatment for his injuries. Cieszykowski was also charged with resisting arrest and assault on a police officer.
Wyatt was also later charged with one count of burglary. Additional charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
