Two Women Sentenced For Hiding Cop Killer

Two women who were charged with hiding and harboring Ashford Thompson, the man who killed Twinsburg Police Officer Joshua Miktarian, were sentenced today in Cuyahoga County but avoided prison time.

NewsChannel 5 reports Danielle Roberson, of Akron, and Bridget Robinson, of Bedford Heights, were sentenced to two years probation and fined $1,000 each. Roberson's probation also includes six months of house arrest.

Both women pleaded guilty last month to several charges. Robinson is Thompson's sister and Roberson is his ex-girlfriend.

Miktarian was shot in the head during a traffic stop in 2008.. Ashford Thompson was convicted and is on death row for the murder. He was the first Twinsburg police officer killed in the line of duty in the department's history.
