Akron firefighters quickly knocked down a fire at a home off East Exchange Street this morning.

The Akron fire department says the owner of the home on Black Street reported smoke and fire on the outside of the home at about 7 AM.

The occupants got out before firefighters arrived, and those firefighters put out the fire outside the home.

There are no reports of injuries as a result of the fire.

Firefighters say the fire started inside the wall of the home, but haven't determined a cause.
