Tallmadge police say speed and icy road conditions are to blame for a fatal crash that happened Monday morning.

Police say the driver of a van struck a utility pole, tree and several parked cars as it was travelling southbound in the 1200 block of Southeast Avenue near Summit Racing.

The driver was ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say speed, reckless driving and icy road conditions are all factors in the crash.

The driver has yet to be identified. Tallmadge Police and the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating the crash.
