Akron Police are investigating a shooting that sent a woman to the hospital Thursday night.

Police say the woman was driving on Elma Avenue around 7:30 p.m. when she flashed her lights at two men who were walking in the street.

Authorities say the woman then drove past the men, with one of them allegedly firing several shots at her car.

One bullet penetrated the vehicle and struck her in the shoulder. She was taken to Akron City Hospital, where her injuries are not life-threatening.

Both suspects remain at large.

Anybody with information is asked to contact the Akron Police Department.
