The Barberton man found guilty in the rape and kidnapping of an elderly woman will spend the next two decades behind bars.

31-year old Joseph Litten was sentenced to 20 years in prison by Judge Alison McCarty Wednesday in Summit County Common Pleas Court.

Summit County Prosecutors say Litten must also register as a Tier III sex offender for the rest of his life.

Litten sexually assaulted an 86-year-old female acquaintance on July 16 of last year and his DNA was found on various items of the woman's clothing.

The woman was able to identify her attacker and testified at trial.

Litten was found guilty by a jury on January 18.
