The Akron Beacon Journal has announced plans to sell its warehouse property to a developer that is planning to build a student housing development on the site.

The newspaper reports the Akron Planning Commission has already approved plans for the $20 million, four story building on the south side of East Exchange Street near South Broadway.

The property, also known as the old Broad Street rail station, is currently used to store giant rolls of paper for the newspaper which is located across the street.

According to the Beacon Journal, Akron City Council will look over the proposal in February.
