Four months after fire destroyed the Father's House Church on Wadsworth Road in Norton construction will begin on a new sanctuary, at a new location, after the current church site was put up for sale.

Pastor Mike Guarnieri tells AkronNewsNow. We bought a beautiful piece of property just up the road. We're about a mile and a half west of the location where the fire was. It's at 475 Wadsworth Road. We're really excited about it. We're going to get our new building underway in February."

Guarnieri says the new church will be larger with more amenities

"It's going to be a bigger building. It's going to be all one story without any steps which is very desirable, considering our former building. We're going to have a nice commercial kitchen put in there, some really nice outdoor equipment for kids and adults," says Guarnieri.

Guarnieri says full insurance coverage on the old church building plus donations from individuals and other churches made the larger church possible. He says construction should be completed and the new church should be ready for services before next Christmas.

Ever since the fire destroyed the old sanctuary the congregation has been holding services at Lake Anna Hall in Barberton.
