A Cuyahoga Falls man faces charges including attempted murder resulting from an argument with his live-in girlfriend.

Cuyahoga Falls police say they responded to a domestic violence call Saturday night that escalated from a verbal argument between 27 year-old David P. Seitz II and his girlfriend, to an attempt by Seitz to kill her.

Police say Seitz allegedly loaded a rifle and threatened to kill both his girlfriend and himself, then fired six rounds from the rifle inside the residence in the 2300 block of High Street.

The victim says Seitz choked and assaulted her. Police say both ended up suffering minor injuries.

Seitz was arrested and booked into the Summit County Jail.

He faces charges including attempted murder, felonious assault, aggravated menacing, domestic violence and firearms related charges.
