For Judges Linda and Thomas Teodosio, their daughter's legacy continues to make an impact throughout the community. Today, they will be honored with the Bishop Cosgrove Justice Award at this year's annual dinner for the Catholic Commission of Summit County.

They created the Andrea Rose Teodosio Foundation following the death of their 22-year-old daughter in a skiing accident early on February 12, 2011.

"We decided that we wanted to put this foundation together to really further the interest that she had while she was alive and do things in areas that were really important to her," said Linda Teodosio. "It was a way to keep her spirit alive."

Thomas Teodosio says the foundation is based on the values Andrea cared for and kept close to her heart.

"She really taught us a lot about how we should live our lives and how we should always keep an eye out for others in need," said Thomas Teodosio.

The foundation focuses on assisting the underprivileged and elderly, addressing environmental issues and promoting community service and education.

"Her memory has really encouraged other people to give and do things that maybe they wouldn't have thought of doing otherwise." said Linda. "Working with the girl scouts and putting together the dress project, for example. To watch the energy and compassion that those girls put into that project was absolutely an amazing experience for Tom and I."
